Sabin Garea (b. 1980) is a visual artist living and working currently in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2004 he receives a BA of FIne Arts degree in Sculpture and in 2012 he receives a MA of Fine Arts in Photography and Time Based Media, from The National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania. He is currently enrolled in the program Master of Artistic Research in Kabk, The Hague, Netherlands.
In his artistic practice his endevours range from the simple use of shape to combining it with images in installations that explore themes like the representation of historical figures in public space, the usage and operation of the archives and consumerist habits of society.
In his body of work he approaches social cliches that he deconstructs, inviting to their objective analysis. He uses history as a subject of artistic investigation.
